Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.
Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.
The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"
After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

guy on right was in another band, but the previous bandmates dumped him after his gambling addiction and subsequent legal troubles. guy on right is invited to front another band from the lower east side who just lost their lead singer & drummer. guy on right just happens to owe "uncle bugsy" a favor, and hires "cousin guido" (left) to play drums. therefore, guy on right is in charge, at least as long as he makes the payments in a timely fashion...
The guy on the right is in charge, if only because he is the only one old enough to buy at the packy.
Local legend here in NY has it that this band built the stage at CBGB's. Not in a "House that Ruth Built" metaphorical way: they actually built it with hammers and nails and lumber and whatnot. Pretty cool.
Regarding the photo, guy on the left inspired Brian May (of Queen) to grow his hair out. Second from left inspired countless musicians to channel seething anger into music. Third from left inspired Stewart Copeland to persevere in music despite a catastrophically square jaw. With all those guys busy influencing people, the booking-agent-looking guy on right must be in charge.
I'm going with Andy Samberg, second left. He has the most determination in his eyes. The guy on the right looks too much like Ray Davies from the Kinks for my liking.
I think the guy on the right has to be it, because he's
a: not stoned, just drunk
&
b: separate from the rest
&
c: a little scary looking
The guy on the right. He has the smug look and triumphant hair of a lead singer.
Shows on television have become mostly dull and unoriginal. Shows put on by Television must also be dull and unoriginal.
For that reason my vote goes to the 2nd from the left, the most dull and least original member.
