Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.
Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.
The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"
After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.
Band: Magma
Genre: Skronk
Website: http://www.myspace.com/magmaofficial
Voting ends on: Monday, February 22nd, 9:00am CST (GMT-5)

Jesus of Nazareth (far left) can do a lot of amazing things but he can't rock a leather jacket and if I know one thing it is that if you're going to lead a Skronk band, you have to rock the leather jacket. LJ gets the nod.
/word verifcation: maskaped although maskedape would possibly have been more appropriate.
Jesus of Nazareth gets my vote as he is standing slightly apart from the others so there is room for his Magmanificent aura. Which is brown and scruffy. Like his beard. Why is everyone else so squished together?
It is strange that his Skronk idol is outside the leather coat. The better to mesmerize you with...
Balding McChubster (third from the right) gets my vote. He has that look about someone who thinks matching giant pendants look cool in a band.
I'm gonna go with the dude in the leather coat. Why? Capriciousness.
i started to vote for the hypnotist-in-leather, but the telling detail is found in the facial hair. middle-mustache has influenced bands from motorhead to metallica, and now magma. middle-mustache is in charge. (he also is obsessed with the letter "m"). these guys are gonna make it big!
p.s. i always wondered whatever happened to emo phillips...
After seeing that the band needed to resort to hypnotism in order for their fans to follow them the real leader started a slow progression to other things.
That is why my vote goes to the little face on the far right. Distancing from the band already.
I'm voting for the regular-looking middle-aged man in the back, third in from the left. He's these kids' high school shop teacher and helped them make the matching pendants out of scrap metal.
I'm pretty sure third from right is Vincent D'Norfio who is crazy so I vote from him out of fear.
HAHAHAH! he DOES look like vincent d'onofrio! goren from law and order CI kicks ass, therefore vincent's twin gets my vote.
Some vice president didn't agree with me last time so I'm inclined to take my ball back.
I hesitated, but I found a man with glasses third from left, he may even have been matted in later as he is so in charge he didn't turn up for the band photo op.
Looks like he can negotiate with 'Babylon' therefore he is in charge.
Guy with upside-down yield sign shaped hair, second from the left, he is in charge. I have a thing for "recycling" street signs...to my bedroom wall. He reminds me of my favorite passtime thus he gets my vote.
word verification: nerse. Are 1st graders doling out word veries?
The man with the scary eyes holding on to his big belt ,front row right. He is in charge. You wouldn't mess with him.
My eye was initially drawn to Jesus there on the left. Then I changed my mind, thinking that Vincent D'Onofrio had to be in charge because he has his own "Law and Order" series.
But look again, Leather jacket guy has a crab claw (or something) concealing his emblem. This crab claw (or something) is the source of all power in the band (the "skronk," if you will) so he is in charge.
Or is it the lone female, far right? No, I'll stick with leather jacket guy.
