Silver Apples

Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.

Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.

The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"

After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

Band: Silver Apples
Genre: Electronic
Website: http://www.myspace.com/officialsilverapples

Voting ends on: Monday, February 15th, 9:00am CST (GMT-5)

THE VERDICT (Updated!)

Voting has ended. Here is the tally.

No One - 1 vote
The Drumming Monk - 3 votes
Wavy Guy On The Left - 3 votes

A tie! A tie! As with all ties, we must call on the sitting Vice President of the United States for a verdict.

"I must concur with Family Brown with regards to a well-maintained haircut signifying leadership. The Drumming Monk is in charge."

Wait a minute, are you still the Vice President?

"As far as you know."

"Excuse me, excuse me, I am in charge now. I AM IN CHARGE NOW."

Okay, okay, so which is it, Vice President Biden? Who's in charge here?

"Whoever Cheney didn't pick."

There you have it, folks. Wavy Guy on the Left is in charge!

if i were the type to not vote for actual band members, i'd say it's a toss-up between timothy leary, robert moog, and thomas knoll. however, i vote for mr.inner being in charge, since he convinced the cameraman to keep his face less distorted.

Whoa, I'm like totally going for that huge transparent rocking horse that's spewing forth orange balls of beauty over the planet from his tail like a benevolent God and oh my God I just totally realised that that is God and I totally love you, man.

Oh, sorry. I mean the guy on the left.

A confluence of factors (60s feel of the photo, electronic genre, and Benedictine Monk bowl haircut of guy in the rear) lead me to believe that these guys directly influenced that one song where the Gregorian chant is mashed over a house beat. Thanks for that, Silver Apples.

I have to go with the beanpole in the foreground. No drumming monk has never been in charge of anything, ever.

OK, sorry for the weird last sentence. That last sentence should've read "No drumming monk has EVER been in charge of anything, ever." On second thought, the correction isn't much better than the original.

I'll blame the contact high from viewing the photo.

Since the band's genre is electronics and there seems to be quite alot of high tech equipment then my vote goes to Bill Gates.

Since he's not in the picture, or as high as the band members are he can't be in charge.

With that in mind I will say the Bill Gates look-alike with the short hair is in charge.

Tough one.
If pressed I'd go for the brown jumper one with the 'page boy' haircut, on account of him having that controlled appearances of neatly turned under hair....he perhaps has the firmest handle on which way is up, but really I guess their mum may really be the boss.

I showed my wife this post and asked her who she thought was in charge.

She says the man in front, on the microphone, is the front man and must be in charge.

Then again she did marry me so how good can her decision making process be?
