Kaiser Chiefs

Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.

Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.

The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"

After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

Band: Kaiser Chiefs
Genre: Pop

Voting ends on: Monday, March 9th, 9:00am CST (GMT-5)

THE VERDICT (Updated!)

Voting has ended. Here is the tally.

Mr. Y - 2 votes
Mr. T - 4 votes
Mr. A - 2 votes
Afro Far Right - 1 vote
Tie Guy - 1 vote

A close race, but Mr. T pities the fool who doesn't follow him.

it's either the policeman or the indian chief. wait, wrong group?

I'm going to have to go with "Y" on this one.

YTÅM?

I don't think YTAM is what the band is trying to spell. They got it backwards due to the mirror they are all looking in. It's supposed to be the pirate-esque "MATY."

With that in mind the leader is the most pirate like one. The second from the left gets my vote.

Afro on the far right says to Ari the Agent in the suit (second from right): "I bet $50 and control of the band I can get these mugs to do jumping jacks."

Ari is paying up. Afro is in charge.

The guy in the middle. I had a big old pile of rationale for it, but Blogger chewed up my comment and I had to start again and now I can't be bothered.

I say young Ashton Kutcher on the far left - he is exulting in his leadership status by tossing his hands in the air. Plus he has the best hair.

jared, interesting conversation, because to me it looks like they're saying "let's see if it grows when we hold hands".

Like last week, there are two members about to split from the band. The two on the right are announcing - silently - their "Sound Of Silence: A Simon and Garfunkel Tribute in Mime" act. Of the remaining three, I'd guess Mr."T" is in charge.

p.s. This photo looks spliced together. Check out the back wall shading and Mr. Å's cutoff foot.

good catch, hatless! i didn't notice that before, but i'd say you are absolutely right.

I didn't notice that! Though perhaps that guy lost half his foot in a hunting accident.

I feel like I should upload an additional picture for this band (still keeping the original).

thanks. photoshop is my day job...

Maybe the two on the right are causing the other three to slip into a tear in the space-time continuum, starting with Mr. A's foot. They needed to do this so that the kids on the street would never miss a beat, never miss a beat, never miss a beat, beat beat, beat....

I admit that the Hatless-p0nk theorem of Photoshop + holding hands "to see how big it'll get" is a bit more probable. (A corollary to Occam's razor is that one should never presume tears in the space-time continuum when a more straightforward explanation of a rock band photo is available). But I'm not changing my vote in any event.

Man in tie, showing colleague how to 'put your left foot in, your left foot out, your left foot in and you shake it all about',
rest of them are just shamelessly trying to draw attention to themselves as they are in his shadow sooooo much.
Obvious really, tie= advanced motor skills=incharge.

Mr. T is in charge. He's really selling the look and he has the most serious face.

Totally the John Lennon wannabe, second from left. What a wanker.
