Yes

Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.

Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.

The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"

After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

Band: Yes (Tormato era)
Genre: Prog Rock
Website: http://www.yesworld.com/

Voting ends on: Monday, December 29th, 9:00am CST (GMT-5)

UPDATE: I'll let this go another week. Not enough votes. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO BELIEVES IN A PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY?!!

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE:

Here is the tally:

The Dapper Turtleneck: 2 votes

one would think that leadership of a band named "yes" should be based on sheer optimism and the power of positive thinking. that would eliminate everyone on the right half of this pic.

so it's down to the two on the left. the expression of mr. upperleft seems more upbeat, but his wardrobe indicates an underlying uncertainty. mr. lowerleft, however, has firmly internalized the teachings of zig ziglar, tony robbins, et.al., and is therefore in charge of this group.

word verification: "phystorm" - a perfect name for a three-cd collection of this band's earliest hits. (artwork by roger dean, of course.)

Hey Lamar, thanks for your unasked-for, out-of-context comment!

I'll be over at your Youtube video shortly, posting Yes lyrics out-of-context!

YOURS IS NO... YOURS IS NO DISGRACE!

Hatless' deductions were quite fantastic, although I came to the same conclusion with just one glance. He stands out in all his dapperness. I also vote for lower left guy in turtleneck.

My own Lamar-esque side-note: men should never wear turtlenecks.
