The Beatles

Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.

Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.

The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"

After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

Band: Beatles
Genre: Pop
Website: Couldn't find a website for these guys.

Voting ends on: August 23rd, 9:00am CST (GMT-5)

THE VERDICT (Updated!)

Voting has ended.

Here is the tally:
Left: 1 vote
Second From Left: 1 vote
Third From Left: 2 votes
Fourth From Left: 1 vote

Hm, I was a little surprised by this vote. Lots of different visual factors at play, I reckon. Third from left, you are in charge and adorable!

Based on this picture, I'd say John because his haircut is the cleanest. Ringo is clearly the butt-monkey of the group.

I'd say it's the gentleman situated third from left, in the rear.

He looks the most like Bob Mould.

1) who is bob mould?!?

2) like ike & tina and the ramones pics, this is a challenge to only vote based on the picture.

3) again, based on the picture, it's a tossup between john & ringo. john's expression here is way too bland, so i gotta vote ringo. (and that's just wrong...)

Second from the left and Bottom Right look the most dead set on having this band make it. Who knows if they ever will... The guy second from the left does. I pick him, for his dead-eyed glare and his proximity to the middle of the picture.

The mastermind is always in the back. Gotta go Paul.

Tell that to Patton, Custer, or Rick Allen, Jon.

Joe, I was reminded of The Residents when I posted this pic. :)

Hatless,

Bob Mould is from Husker Du, last week's entry. He got my vote (I called him "the guy in the rear who may or may not be wearing an 'I'm Bob Mould' t'shirt." I was riffing on last week's vote when I voted this week.

Now I have a question. Who are these John, Paul, and Ringo people everyone is voting for this week?

Hatless in Hattiesburg said...

jared: thanks. not knowing the members of husker du, i thought you could be referring to some other musician i didn't know about.

now to your question...

"imagine there's no beatles
it's easy if you try
no "paperback writer"
and no "hello goodbye"
nobody's "the walrus"
or "lucy in the sky" - woohooo-oo-oo
you may say i'm a dreamer
but i'm not the only one..."

;)
