We have a history of picking the guy in the vanishing point but don't be fooled. Japanese Joe Mantegna back there is wearing the same boring shade of lipstick as the guy in the middle. The guy in the front is wearing frost blue and has achieved a "smoky eye" with his makeup that is coveted by my wife.
I'll say this in Japanese, but dub it into English: Front guy is in charge [my lips are still moving].
I'm going to say the guy in the back, although the guy in the front clearly thinks he is.
Isn't that Johnny Depp there in the middle? If so, he's clearly in charge. The Japanese mariachi bookends appear to be drugged automatons, their eyelids heavy and their brains unplugged, probably drum machine programmers.

I believe I had a jacket like that in 1986 or so...but not quite that shade of lipstick....he with the most bling is in charge. I'll go with Ninja Rhodes in the front. Sticky lips and the smoky eyes have it.

Those look like military style jackets. Since the guy in front has the most hardware on he must be of the highest rank, hence the leader.
No matter how much the middle guy looks like Johnny Depp, he was never in charge of anything.

I actually was going to use a more recent photo, but it was a picture of them taken outside a building and wasn't really staged.
For this blog, I try to use photos of bands that were created explicitly for promotion.
