King Crimson

Purpose:
Determine a band's leader by analyzing a publicity photo.

Disclaimer:
A band's inclusion on this blog reflects neither an endorsement nor a criticism of its music. This post is merely intended as a spotlight on the inner political workings of a collection of individuals who are in the midst of a cooperative, creative endeavor.

The Process:
You, dear reader, please answer the question, "Who's in charge here?"

After sufficient discussion has taken place, a verdict can then be passed based on a majority vote.

Band: King Crimson (1980's era)
Genre: Disco Prog?

The Verdict (UPDATED!)

Phew. Thankfully, no tie for leader this time around.

Hairy, cocksure guy in the white jacket wins it.

When did G. Gordon Liddy have time to be in a band? One would think G. would have been the leader, but I'm with flannery.

Man 'o Lantern in the white jacket.

Hey man, that's Robert Fripp! Greatest guitarist alive! (works with David Bowie, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, and more). All pay heed to Fripp!

I actually recognized Bill Bruford and Adrian Belew in the picture, but wasn't sure which of the remaining guys was Fripp.

I have their first album, but haven't picked up anything else at this point (actually, I might have Islands on vinyl).

This blog is mostly artists I don't know, sprinkled with a few that I do.

As I mention in my disclaimer, I attempt to be completely neutral with regards to my opinion of a band's music -- it's all about the image and the politics buried within.
